WorldSBK, Suzuka 8 Hours & More - An interview with Twan Smits (EURO MOTO Superbike)
Palmen in Motorradsport had the opportunity to interview Twan Smits, a young Dutch rider competing in the EURO MOTO Superbike Championship (formerly known as IDM) aboard the Yamaha of Team Apreco.
The 22-year-old from Steenwijk spoke mainly about his experiences on the world stage, with a particular focus on his wildcard appearance in the Superbike World Championship at Assen and his participation in the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship, including the Suzuka 8 Hours. These experiences have given Smits a wealth of valuable knowledge as he now aims to establish himself in the 1000cc class and, in the future, secure a full time ride in the Superbike World Championship.
